Premiere of “The Elephant and the Clown” for Double Clarinet Quartet

On Oct. 13, 2012 at the Vandoren/Buffet Clarinet Ensemble Festival, Paquito D’Rivera’s new work "The Elephant and the Clown" is premiering for double Clarinet Quartet. The performance of the new work will be at 6:00 pm at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Music Building Recital Hall in Greensboro, NC.

The new piece will join several works for Clarinet available from exclusively from Boosey and Hawkes. A PDF listing of works for clarinet is available and also directly from the Boosey and Hawkes website.

World Premiere Live Performance of “Come With Me” with Jose Limon Dance Company

On June 30 and July 1, Paquito D’Rivera will perform live with Jose Limon Dance Company the world premiere of “Come With Me” inspired by the original work “Ladies in White”. The work was commissioned by Jose Limon Dance Company and choreographed by Rodrigo Pederneiras of Brazil’s Grupo Corpo.

Performances will be held at SummerStage in Central Park both nights at 8:00 pm.

Arias From Paquito’s New Opera “Cecilio Valdés, King of Havana”

Heard on June 14 in the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, Opera America presented “New Works Sampler” with performers from the Curtis Institute of Music, to attendees of the 2012 conference. Among those presented included arias from Paquito D’Rivera’s opera “Cecilio Valdés, King of Havana” represented by Boosey and Hawkes. The full opera is not yet complete. New D’Rivera Composition “Kites” Now on CD – August 24, 2010

IMANI WINDS (Woodwind Quintet) New CD "Terra Incognita" (E1 Music) features Paquito D’Rivera’s new composition "KITES," and works by Wayne Shorter and Jason Moran. D’Rivera and his sideman, Alex Brown, pianist, are guest artists on "Kites" performing with the Imani Winds.
